Danube Delta isn’t just ticked off-it’s respected!
About Just Wildlife Tours and the Man Behind It: Florin Stavarache
This isn’t mass tourism. This isn’t chasing photo ops.
It’s a true encounter with wild nature, rare birds, and something greater than ourselves.
Meet the man behind the most intimate and ethical birdwatching and wildlife photography expeditions in the Danube Delta.
Who is Florin Stavarache? The Man of the Delta!
I was born in Tulcea, where the Danube Delta isn’t just a destination-it’s a way of life. At age 10, I stepped into the ornithology circle at the Children’s Palace, led by the Doroșencu couple. Under their guidance and alongside Eugen Petrescu-former director of the Romanian Ornithological Society and a man who dedicated his life to birds-I began to discover the mysteries of nature and avian life.
Eugen was a consummate biologist-both demanding and kind. From him I learned to be silent before looking, not to walk hastily, to sense a bird beyond its movement or call. He taught from the heart: with a hand on my shoulder and his gaze on the horizon. He said, “Birds don’t come for photos. They come only if you respect them and hold them dear.”
I went on to earn a Bachelor’s in Biology and a Master’s in Biodiversity, but my real education remains in the field, the water, the wilderness. Tens of thousands of hours at dawn, in rain, and on hidden canals, observing migratory and rare bird species.
For over 20 years, I’ve guided people through the Danube Delta, Wild Dobrogea, and the Carpathian virgin forests. I’ve worked with the BBC, NGOs, and wildlife specialists. But what truly defines me isn’t big projects-it’s the quietness that falls when a bird appears. I don’t seek spectacle; I seek an encounter-with nature, with you, with everything you forgot was alive.

6 Reasons We Stand Apart from Any Other Travel Agency
The Story and Mission of Just Wildlife Tours
After years of leading expeditions for other agencies in the Danube Delta, I felt it was time to create something that truly represents me. Too often, I saw nature experiences reduced to “services” to be checked off, stripped of the depth and silence that give them meaning.
Just Wildlife Tours was born from this need for sincerity. I didn’t want to offer “just another tour,” but a return to the essence-to morning light, to birds that come only if you wait for them, to moments that can’t be scheduled, only lived.
The motivation behind this decision:
I said NO to mass tourism and hectic experiences, where everything moves too fast, too loud, too shallow. I saw too many people leave the Delta with hundreds of photos but not a single real emotion.
What I want is the opposite: an experience that touches the soul, not just the lens. I wanted to create a space for stillness, for learning, for authentic encounters with nature. A place where people arrive as tourists and leave as part of a ritual.
For me, nature doesn’t appear on command. It offers itself only to those who know how to listen. And I succeeded.
The story behind the name Just Wildlife Tours:
The name Just Wildlife Tours wasn’t chosen by chance. “Just” means, to me, simplicity. Fairness. Essence. No embellishments, no staging, no brochure promises. Just nature. Just respect. Just people who know that true beauty doesn’t shout-it waits in silence.
That’s what I wanted to express: that I’m not offering an adventure, but an inner journey guided by light, wings, and meaning.
The name reflects my philosophy: not to force nature, not to impose our presence, but to be honest witnesses to a spectacle that needs no applause.
The mission of Just Wildlife Tours is simple and profound:
To help people reconnect with nature through ethics, knowledge, and respect. I don’t sell a pretty picture-I offer an authentic experience that honors all involved: the person, the birds, the sunlight or moonlight, the water, and the silence.
I believe in a kind of tourism that leaves no heavy marks, only clean memories. I want every person who steps into my boat to learn something new, to breathe differently, to see with new eyes. To leave more at peace, more present, more aware of their place in the world.
My vision is to build a community of people who don’t just “visit” nature-they live it fully. People who know that real beauty doesn’t lie in noise, but in patience. Who understand that a bird isn’t a box to check-it’s a lesson in silence and presence.
I want to gather around me souls who seek more than a “different weekend.” People who want to be part of a way of life where nature is respected, not used. People who aren’t just chasing a great photo, but looking for an emotion that stays with them for the rest of their lives.
An authentic encounter with the Delta is a memory for life.

What a Just Wildlife Tours Expedition Actually Means
This isn’t an escape from the city-it’s a return to your true rhythm. Not a packed “city break,” but a slow-flow pause in a low-profile boat gliding silently through water. We depart early, while the Delta still sleeps and morning light filters through the air.
You sip coffee on the pontoon-no music, no notifications. Birds aren’t attractions-they come when you wait. When you stay silent. When you become part of the landscape.
Here, we don’t chase moments. We let them embrace us, surprise us, make us happy.
I teach you to recognize the gaze of an eagle, how a roller alights on a branch, why birds don’t flee from someone who respects their space. I don’t promise spectacle-I promise the healing silence that cleanses your thoughts, gives meaning to your frames, and stays with you long after return. Because a true expedition isn’t about what you see-it’s about how it makes you feel. And who you become in those few hours when all you need to be is present.
In nature, you don’t seek-you learn to receive. And that’s exactly what happens here.
Just Wildlife Tours Gallery with Soul: Authentic Shots, Not Staged Ones
If the Delta Calls You in Silence... Listen.
Maybe you didn’t arrive here by accident.
Maybe something inside you senses it needs a break-not a break in your calendar, but a break for your soul.
Far from the pressure of life, the nonstop notifications, the noise that follows you even when you’re alone.
Here, in my boat, you don’t have to prove anything. You don’t have to rush. You don’t even have to speak.
You just need to be. And nature takes care of the rest.
I invite you to a place where birds don’t come when called-they come when chosen.
Where you don’t "take" photos-you receive them. Where you don’t leave with a thousand pictures, but with a few that will live in your heart.
If you feel you need such a place, maybe the Delta isn’t just waiting for you. Maybe it’s calling you.
The Delta doesn’t show itself to just anyone. But if you feel the need, maybe you’re exactly where you’re meant to be.
